Reading Matters was created to foster educational development and growth in each student. Cheryl Barnas, founder of Reading Matters, is dedicated to promoting a love of reading in students of all ages. She enhances on basic building blocks of word recognition to increase reading speed and comprehension. She has been helping students develop their reading abilities since 2002.

Our therapists are certified academic language therapists with the highest level training in dyslexia and related disorders. We strive to use the latest reading research to provide the best possible outcome for your child. Our office provides a therapeutic environment free from distractions. Students and parents are given compensatory strategies to help each student become academically successful. Parents are partners in the remediation process and are given step-by-step guidance in how to support their child at home to get the most out of the academic language therapy process.
