Terms and Conditions

Conditions for Accepting Teacher Training and Professional Development in Structured Multisensory Language from Payne Education Center

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Henceforth, Participant is defined as any person applying or participating in, and/or completing the Payne Education Center teacher training process.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  1. If a participant is uncertain about the appropriateness of a Payne training, s/he is encouraged to contact Payne Education Center for guidance on which class is most appropriate.

  2. All participants utilize the Payne curricula and training with students in a classroom setting for two complete semesters before being allowed to take any subsequent Payne trainings.

  3. If making inquiries to Payne regarding trainings, participants are responsible for knowing which trainings they have previously attended.

APPLICATION AGREEMENT AND DEADLINES

  1. Applications and payment/purchase orders must be received no less than 14 days before the first day of the training.

  2. Participants may terminate this agreement by giving Payne Education Center one week prior written notice.

  3. Even with cancellation, participant agrees to pay, in full, a 10% nonrefundable portion of the registration fee, regardless of when the participant terminates the agreement.

  4. There will be a 100% training charge for registered participants who do not cancel their registration, and do not attend training (no call, no show).
  5. This agreement may be terminated by Payne Education Center at any time and will give participants advance written notice. Predictably, termination is most likely to happen only if too few teachers register for a training, thus impacting the policies for hosting a training. In the event of a Payne cancellation, all registration fees will be refunded.

EXPECTATIONS FOR CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR

  1. Participant agrees to behave in a professional manner which means to participate, cooperate, show respect to everyone in the classroom, to be present and to attend the entire training.

  2. All CELL PHONES are to be turned off or silenced during class. Payne Education has a zero tolerance policy on cell phone use during training time. Due to the effect on others’ concentration, learning distractions, professional courtesy, and copyright infringement, there is to be no cell calling, texting, photo taking, or recording during class instruction. Violators of this policy may be asked to leave their cell phone at the front of the classroom in public view or possibly the Payne Master Instructor dismissing the participant from the training.

RIGHT TO REFUSE CERTIFICATION

  1. If a participant is asked to leave a training by the Payne Master Instructor, the Payne training materials will be left with the Master Instructor. The Participant will not be refunded any registration fees paid for the training program once the program session begins regardless of when a participant leaves the program. Depending on the circumstances, a refund for the scholarship fee could be invoiced to the participant and/or school.
